His whimsical life lessons take some of the most complex human experiences and break them down in the most familiar and welcoming way.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">On this year&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seussville.com\/educators\/dr-seuss-birthday\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr. Suess Day<\/a>, I got to thinking about how true his most commonly recognized quotes apply in <a href=\"https:\/\/sparkvisionnow.com\/the-facts-about-workplace-culture\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">today&#8217;s workforce<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">When I read Dr. Seuss&#8217; words, I hear him talking about&#8230;<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>Vision<\/strong><\/span>:\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">&#8220;It&#8217;s\u00a0not\u00a0about\u00a0what\u00a0it\u00a0is,\u00a0it&#8217;s\u00a0about\u00a0what\u00a0it\u00a0can\u00a0become.&#8221;<\/span>\u00a0<em>When an organization has a clear vision of\u00a0what they are working towards, a sense of purpose is ignited and people can more easily find passion in their work.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sparkvisionnow.com\/the-power-of-core-values-living-a-fulfilling-life-in-alignment-with-what-matters-most\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>Values<\/strong><\/span><\/a>:\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">&#8220;If\u00a0you\u00a0don&#8217;t\u00a0stand\u00a0for\u00a0something.\u00a0You&#8217;ll\u00a0fall\u00a0for\u00a0anything.&#8221;<\/span> <em>Values are the <\/em><i>guiding principles for the way in which you accomplish your work.\u00a0<\/i><i>They define<\/i><i>\u00a0appropriate behaviors and make decisions easier to make. Without clearly defined values and behaviors that are in alignment, there&#8217;s no internal compass for success.\u00a0<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>Caring<\/strong><\/span>:<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">&#8220;Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, Nothing is going to get better. It&#8217;s not.&#8221;\u00a0<em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Without truly caring, meaningful work does not get accomplished. The hardest battles are fought by those who care a whole awful lot.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>Simplicity<\/strong><\/span>:<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"> &#8220;Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple.&#8221;\u00a0<em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We so regularly complicate the solution. Sometimes going back to basics IS being innovative.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sparkvisionnow.com\/embracing-authenticity-2023s-word-of-the-year\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>Authenticity<\/strong><\/span><\/a>:\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">&#8220;Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Youer\u00a0than You.&#8221;\u00a0<em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">When you hide your\u00a0true self to &#8220;fit into a role&#8221; you are ultimately robbing your organization of your greatest superpower &#8211; being yourself! When you own your gifts, you add valuable perspective\u00a0and talent to everyday experiences.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>Empowerment<\/strong><\/span>: <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">&#8220;You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You&#8217;re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who&#8217;ll decide where to go.&#8221;\u00a0<em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">When you&#8217;re empowered to take on the tasks at hand, you don&#8217;t need to waste time second-guessing yourself! Work is more efficient and engagement\u00a0soars!\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">What do you think?
