Embrace the Winds of Change: How Listening to Nature Can Guide Your Intuition and Transform Your Life<\/h1>\n

It\u2019s a powerful experience to listen to the wind blow before it hits your body. Almost like hearing a wave coming towards you on the shoreline of the beach. But instead of knowing water is on its way, you have no idea what the wind might contain.<\/p>\n

Our family ranch is on a gulch, where the mountains come together and create a ravine. It\u2019s kind of like if The Sound of Music and Yellowstone had a baby.<\/p>\n

Our tiny home<\/a> is at the top of the gulch, where you can literally listen to the wind blow extreme gusts nearly a minute before it gets to you. You can see where winds meet and move throughout the mountains.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s important to pay attention when you hear this wind, or else you may find yourself with your mouth and eyes full of dirt.<\/p>\n

When I was a kid, the wind physically knocked me over.<\/h3>\n

And as if I hadn\u2019t yet learned my lesson, this happened to me again just the other day.<\/p>\n

Between spitting and wiping out huge chunks of dirt from my mouth and face, I was reminded not to f\u2014around when I hear the wind next time.<\/p>\n

When I listen to the wind blow, it makes me think about how you can literally and energetically hear when something big is on its way, but you\u2019re not really sure what it is.<\/p>\n

For example, it could be the potential for a new dream client partnership \ud83e\udd29 or the feeling that something isn\u2019t quite right with work \ud83d\ude25.<\/p>\n

I had those inner energetic feelings right before I was invited to speak on stage<\/a> in front of 3,000 people. \ud83d\udc96<\/p>\n

And also, right before (the only time), I had a client ask for a refund. \ud83e\udd2e<\/p>\n

And typically, when you hear that \u201cwind\u201d you respond in one of two ways: fear or excitement.<\/h3>\n

Fear that you might fall on your face and have a mouth full of dirt. Or excitement for the possibility of harnessing the wind for power and joy!<\/p>\n

Having the wind knock me over may have been one of my earliest memories of how important it is to pay attention to the warning signs my mind, body, and spirit were giving me.<\/p>\n

I always used to downplay good possibilities. Someone I looked up to used to say, \u201cExpect the worst and be excited if it turns out better. Then it\u2019s a pleasant surprise vs. dealing with disappointment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Looking back, it was a super low-vibration way of thinking. Expect the worst to protect yourself from disappointment? \ud83d\ude43 No thanks.<\/p>\n

Talk about an ass-backward way to manifest your desires!<\/p>\n

Today, when I have inner tinglings of something big on its way, I assume the best – even if that means I need to reframe it for myself. I listen to the wind of my soul.<\/h3>\n

For example, when I had a feeling this client was going to ask for a refund, I intuitively knew about a week before it happened.<\/p>\n

How? Well, they had completely changed their energy around me. Became defensive and shut down. And stopped engaging in the positive ways they had before.<\/p>\n

So, even though I knew something was up, instead of preparing for the worst, I chose to assume it would present itself soon and I\u2019d be ready for how to respond with love (not fear).<\/p>\n

Then, once I got the news, instead of spiraling about what this meant about me, I chose the story that while I was disappointed they were walking away, I was grateful we could clean it up quickly. This also gave me the opportunity to revisit my refund policies and ensure no one abuses them in the future. I listen to the wind of my soul.<\/p>\n

I could have easily chosen to be a victim, made a big stink about how ridiculous this was, and refused to budge in what I knew was valuable work I delivered.<\/p>\n

But energetically\u2026 that\u2019s basically choosing the mouth and eyes full of dirt option. \ud83e\udd37<\/p>\n
