Because when you have boundaries with yourself, you don\u2019t have to choose to muscle through, end up stuck, frustrated, or completely drained from pushing too hard.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how you can start setting boundaries with yourself when you\u2019re exhausted from muscle through life:<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>\ud83d\udd0dStep 1: Awareness<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The next time you find yourself pushing or pulling too hard, pause and take note. What\u2019s happening? How are you feeling? Are you forcing your way through because you feel you &#8220;should&#8221; be able to handle it all alone?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Example 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You\u2019re at work, drowning in tasks, and telling yourself, &#8220;<em>I just need to push through this. I don\u2019t have time to get someone up to speed to help.<\/em>&#8221; Meanwhile, you\u2019re exhausted, unfocused, and barely getting anything done.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Example 2:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s Saturday, and you promised yourself this would be your day to rest, but now you\u2019re cleaning the house, running errands, and doing laundry. Your body is telling you to slow down, but your mind is saying, &#8220;<em>Keep going. You can relax once you\u2019ve gotten this all done.<\/em>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In moments like these, notice how you feel. I want to feel calm and collected.\u201d (not anxious and overwhelmed)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Example 2:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Instead of powering through the weekend like a machine, you set the intention: \u201c<em>Today, I\u2019ll honor my body\u2019s needs. I\u2019ll do a few things that energize me, then allow myself time to rest and recharge. I want to feel relaxed.\u201d (not depleted)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Intentions give you clarity on what you want to experience, and that clarity helps you approach situations with more ease and control.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>\ud83d\uded1Step 3: Boundaries with Yourself<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Now that you know how you want to feel, it\u2019s time to start setting boundaries with yourself. These are the rules you set to protect your energy and prevent burnout. Boundaries stop you from overdoing it when you\u2019re at your limit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Example 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When work gets overwhelming, you set the boundary: \u201c<em>When I feel overloaded, I will prioritize training my team members so they can take over and create more flow overall. I won\u2019t try to do everything myself. If I\u2019m stuck, I\u2019ll pause for a moment to reassess rather than push blindly forward.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Example 2:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When you feel like you need to rest, you set the boundary: \u201c<em>If my body is telling me to rest, I will listen. I will say no to activities that will deplete me. I\u2019ll take breaks, enjoy downtime, and remind myself that it\u2019s okay not to be busy all the time.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Boundaries with yourself help you avoid the endless cycle of pushing too hard and feeling exhausted. They create space for you to live in a way that aligns with your energy and values.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>When you start setting boundaries with yourself, life becomes easier. You create more flow and grace.
