Why Following Your Heart (Not Your Head) Leads to a More Aligned and Fulfilling Life<\/h1>\n

When I first began my journey into consciousness and self-awareness, one quote stuck with me more than any other:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe longest journey you\u2019ll ever go on is from your head to your heart.\u201d<\/em><\/h3>\n

As someone who spent most of my life living in my head\u2014rationalizing everything, planning for every possibility, trying to have control\u2014this felt impossible. I was used to overthinking, following logic, and letting fear drive the bus. That little voice in my head\u2014the ego\u2014was loud, and I listened to it for years.<\/p>\n

But that quote kept coming back to me. And over time, I realized something powerful:<\/p>\n

When I made decisions from my head, I often felt fear, regret, and lack. But when I listened to my heart, I felt peace, abundance and alignment.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now, here I am\u2014just one week away from packing up our life in Baltimore to move full-time to the mountains of Idaho.<\/p>\n

And this move? It\u2019s the biggest step I\u2019ve ever taken from my head to my heart.<\/p>\n

\n

The Pull to the Mountains<\/strong><\/h3>\n

My heart has been calling me west for years.<\/p>\n

The first time I visited MaryBeth\u2019s family\u2019s ranch over a dozen years ago, I felt something shift inside me. We\u2019d spend a week or two out there at a time, and every moment felt expansive. Grounded. Right.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Then we\u2019d return to the city\u2026 and everything felt wrong.<\/p>\n

The more time we invested out west, the harder it became to return. The contrast grew sharper, and I noticed how out of alignment I felt in the city. The noise, the pace, the concrete\u2014it just didn\u2019t match what my soul craved anymore.<\/p>\n

But still, I stayed in my head:<\/p>\n

\u201cThis doesn\u2019t make sense; you know nothing about living on a ranch.\u201d<\/em>
\n\u201cWhat about your family and friends?\u201d<\/em>
\n\u201cAre you really going to leave everything you know behind?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

My ego tried to protect me by keeping things familiar. That\u2019s what egos do\u2014they try to protect your hell, even if it\u2019s making you miserable. They fear change. They don\u2019t want you to leap.<\/p>\n

But my heart knew.<\/p>\n

And over time, I listened.<\/p>\n

MaryBeth and I created a plan. We made it intentional. We began building a life that made room for that calling.<\/p>\n

And now, in just a few days, we\u2019re making it real, for good.<\/p>\n

Your Values Live in Your Heart<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Here\u2019s something I\u2019ve come to deeply understand:<\/p>\n

Your values live in your heart.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When you activate your core values, you\u2019re not just being \u201cproductive\u201d or \u201caligned\u201d\u2014you\u2019re following your heart. You\u2019re giving yourself permission to live with integrity and do what truly matters to you.<\/p>\n

Every time I felt peace at the ranch\u2026 every time the city felt harder to bear\u2026 my values were speaking to me. My heart was speaking to me.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The reason I feel so much more alive and have good energy out west is that it activates my values of Unity with Nature, Growth, Learning, Spirituality and Connection to name a few.<\/p>\n

And now, I get to live in alignment with them daily.<\/p>\n

A Card That Said It All<\/strong><\/h3>\n

During our most recent monthly Manifestation Ceremony inside our Community of Alignment<\/a>, I pulled an oracle card.<\/p>\n

It said: \u201cTake Note of Intuitive Messages.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

I had to smile. Because the truth is, I can\u2019t think of a single time I\u2019ve followed my intuition\u2014or what I now understand is my heart\u2014and regretted it.<\/p>\n

Every single time I\u2019ve listened to my heart, it\u2019s led me to:<\/p>\n
