Learn more about our Life Lens co-hosts

Why are you co-hosting this event?

Mali: It’s one of the best events I’ve attended that continually gives back to you, in a meaningful way. I firmly believe that every human needs space for reflection and connection, so I’m happy to co-host by helping facilitate that experience for others.

Abdul: I attended Life Lens as a B-day present to myself (and personal invite from a close friend) and found it immensely helpful in identifying and aligning with my authentic values. The experience was transformative, creating a safe space for participants to be vulnerable as I explored important stages of my life and discovered my values. I’m interested because I believe my purpose work is helping people have similar transformative experiences and co-hosting Life Lens w/ MaryBeth & Mali would be an ideal way to learn.

What are you most looking forward to experiencing at the workshop?

Mali: I am most looking forward to experiencing the connection between new faces and evaluating my values from the last time I participated in this workshop. As life changes, so do one’s values, and Life Lens is a lovely way to reflect upon just that.

Abdul: I’m looking forward to connecting with people included but not limited to friends, family and help them explore, discover and align with their personal values. My most rewarding part of the whole experience is to see people I care about gain a new lens to view life. I love the lightbulb moments when a transformative connection is made.

Why are you encouraging others to join you?

Mali: Life Lens not only gives you a new found perspective of your own life and what values are important to you, it helps foster deeper connections you may not have had the opportunity to otherwise create through shared reflection and stories. Commonality is one of the largest human connectors and this retreat does exactly that in an engaging, beautiful way.

Abdul: I’m encouraging others to join me because Life Lens rocks as a workshop and experience but mainly for altruistic reasons. We are all connected as a part of a giant eco-system and all for helping people discover themselves through their self-awareness journey of getting whole if it means a much healthier ecosystem. Being in tune with our values allows us to live a much more authentic life, creating space for love and true happiness to flow.

Who do you hope attends?

Mali: I hope people who have never taken a step back, or need to do more, to reflect on their lives and its alignment with their values. This could also be an opportunity for those in a state of transition, whether it be a new job or business, grief of all kinds, new relationship, and a great deal of many other transitions that are part of the human experience.

Abdul: I hope friends, family, and friends who have become family attend. I know the value and importance of self-awareness, pursuing a purpose-driven life and would love to offer them a chance to begin that journey by taking this workshop. MaryBeth is an excellent facilitator/host, creating spaces that foster the openness needed to begin connecting on a deeper level.
