2024 Year in Review

How I Turned My Worst Year Into My Best Year by Aligning with My Core Values

If 2023 was the worst year of my life, then 2024 was hands down the best. And the real kicker? None of the conditions that made me depressed in 2023 actually changed all that much…

What changed was my MINDSET about them!

Like when my sister re-filed her $100 million lawsuit against us. đŸ€•

This time, I didn’t jump to suicidal ideation as the first response and stay depressed about it for the year. I was still angry, sad, and overwhelmed. But I learned how to honor and release that energy quickly. And didn’t absorb it as if it were a life sentence of a cold, soggy, moldy blanket wrapped around me. (aka what I chose to do the year before.)

I doubled down on my boundaries and was quite the badass at asking for and reinforcing what I needed to love you and me simultaneously.

‘Power’ was my word last year. And I took it seriously. As a result, I’ve never felt more freedom and purpose in each day! đŸ’„

And surprise, surprise, it all came from doing all the work I coach my clients on. Returning to myself by choosing my values over and over again. With full permission to be human along the way.

With those vibes in mind, here are my 24 milestone moments in 2024:

  1. Went on three shamanic frog medicine journeys to purge the pent-up emotions that were lingering in our bodies from 2023. It was a doozy. And hope to never feel the need for it again. But I always find that when I choose the hard thing, better things are on the other side. And that’s exactly what happened!

  2. Our cryptocurrencies are a gift that keeps on giving, baby. James created a new system in which we use these assets wisely so we can have even more abundance in our day-to-day flow.

  3. Wrestled a shark. On a fishing trip with my brother, sister-in-law and her hardcore fisherman father, we caught and released more sharks than anything else.
  4. Threw myself an “unbirthday party” for my 40th since I knew I’d be isolated out west on my actual birthday and wanted to celebrate with my Baltimore crew. Held it at my favorite healing studio over sound baths, breath work, and movement classes with the teachers who helped me heal from my darkest days.
  5. Got stung 6 times INSIDE my beekeeping suit when I attempted to move my hive unsuccessfully. And gave an awesome city beekeeping presentation at my local library.

  6. My Knowing & Living Your Values Course now has over 8,000 students! Made a real effort that paid off in making more passive revenue while impacting people’s lives all over the world for the better.
  7. We turned our Baltimore home into a rental property from traveling nurses while we had our most expansive adventure out west. It included loads of home upgrades that I was so energized to take on.
  8. Six whole months in our tiny home on our family ranch! We’d only gone for 6 weeks at most before, so this was transformative, to put it lightly.
  9. Ran our first workshop and then boatloads more from our tiny home thanks to Starlink and felt like we’ve really figured out what success looks and feels like for us and our business.
  10. Went to Montana for a month to learn how to tame wild mustangs using energy work, animal communication, and at-liberty training techniques. Hands down, the most significant thing I could have done to honor my truth and shed limiting beliefs for my 40th.
  11. Completely fell in love with my Mustang, Norby, and scrambled to figure out how I might be able to adopt him when I wasn’t able to bring him back to our ranch. Thankfully, James was rooting for this outcome from the start!

  12. My soul sister of a neighbor in Idaho invited not just Norby, but also his new brother Ollie to stay on her ranch as a temporary solution. One of the most euphoric moments of my life was witnessing them meet for the first time and, within 5 minutes, begin to groom each other mutually. Insta-love!

  13. Had almost 4,000 people take our core values quiz, which gave us awesome insight into what the data says about what motivates and detracts our people. Big thanks to James for being an SEO genius and getting us ranked in the #1 spot for our values quiz organically.
  14. Became an amateur horse trainer and felt all the cells in my body light up like, THIS IS IT! I was completely blown away by how James stepped up to join me and may have even more fun with it than me.
  15. Watched the sun and moon rise and set more than ever before. We literally cannot miss it from our glass cocoon of a tiny home since its 75% floor-to-ceiling glass.
  16. Built a hayshed and became a daily member of the “hay team,” with our amazing neighbors which we ensured that we had what we needed for all our horses to be well-fed for the next year. Talk about rewarding manual labor! I felt so much purpose in each beam that I secured and each bail that got stacked.
  17. Launched a How to Set Boundaries Bootcamp that attracted nearly 100 participants right off the bat! Values-driven boundaries are what saved me from myself, and I know they have the power to do the same for you, too.
  18. Went on my first overnight cowgirl camping trip! And after an accident where one of the horses slid down the side of the mountain, I felt so grateful to be alive and with such badass women who showed me how to hold it down.
  19. Broke my arm in a freak accident with my Mustang who got spooked by wolf energy. Then my broken arm was completely re-calcified by the 1-week checkup! The doctor had never seen such a speedy healing in an adult in his entire career. I know it’s from the mental, physical, and spiritual work that I tripled down on. Thank you to everyone who prayed and sent me such loving wishes.🙏

  20. Shifted our group coaching Community of Alignment so that our live Manifestation Ceremonies sync up with the full moon. I wanted to do this for years but thought my woo might be “too much”. Go figure; it increased our participation by 50% when I just listened to my heart.
  21. Made friends with our wildlife neighbors on divine levels. Watched herds of elk, mule deer, and a lone antelope walk through our meadow on a daily basis all fall. Living on a nature preserve sure has its benefits!
  22. Traveled to Wisconsin, Minnesota, Colorado, and Maryland for speaking engagements on values-driven boundaries and permission to be human at work.
  23. Ended the year $30k ahead of 2023 with all our previous (depressing) debt paid off! And the best part – it came through multiple streams of income sources. We’re officially diversified, and it feels awesome.
  24. Came back to Baltimore to our sweet old cat, who is now fully blind and experiencing seizures. Thankfully, both are being managed as best as possible and he’s living a good life in at home hospice with us.

Here’s the thing—as lovely as a snapshot as these recaps seem, it didn’t just happen by chance.

It took intention, accountability, and the courage to keep choosing my values every day, even when life felt overwhelming.
